Hellgate Defenders Demo

Welcome to Hellgate Defenders, a strategic Tower Defense roguelike inspired by dark fantasy classics like Diablo. In this early demo, you’ll defend the last human stronghold against relentless waves of enemies using a growing roster of heroes — each with unique abilities and tactical roles.

Built in Godot 4 as a solo passion project, this game blends automatic combat with deep strategic choices. Your heroes attack on their own — your job is to choose the right upgrades after each wave, shaping your build like a true roguelike.

🎮 Gameplay Overview

• Auto-Battle Mechanics: Heroes attack automatically. You focus on strategy — selecting upgrades after each wave to strengthen your run.
• Deploy Your Defenders: Place up to five heroes (only 3 for now) along the wall to protect the kingdom. Each class brings different strengths to the battlefield.
• Tutorial Phase: The demo includes three starter classes and a guided tutorial to introduce core mechanics like enemy spawning, wave progression, and upgrade selection.
• Play Demo: The demo includes a Demo Stage to test the first classes after tutorial, try different build to win 10 waves of enemies!

• Expanded Hero Roster: Over 20 unique heroes planned, each with distinct skills and unlock paths.
